Let’s be honest: collecting trade paperbacks or omnibuses is expensive. Some issues of the original Marvel run (1984) are collector’s items worth hundreds of dollars. The IDW continuity alone spans over a decade and hundreds of issues.
Every 6 months or so, these sites run a "Transformers Comic Bundle." For $25, you can get 50+ graphic novels legally in DRM-free PDF/ePub format. This is the only legal way to get a PDF library of your own.
Amazon owns the digital rights to most of these libraries. You can buy single issues for $1.99 or wait for massive sales where entire series drop to $5 per volume. Search for "Transformers: The IDW Collection" on Kindle.
