Along the way, they must navigate a treacherous landscape filled with obstacles, puzzles, and enemies. The first film, directed by Wes Langford, introduces us to Thomas (played by Dylan O'Brien), a teenager who wakes up in the Glade with no memory of his past. He finds himself surrounded by other boys who have also been trapped in the Glade, and together they try to survive and escape the maze that surrounds them.
