What began as a seemingly generic "rescue the princess" arcade title has, over its previous chapters, warped into a meta-narrative about game glitches, corrupted save files, and the loneliness of a heroine trapped in a broken kingdom. -Final- -Scorpion- (henceforth referred to as PQ:F-S ) claims to be the true ending—the one that requires you to have played (or at least know the lore of) Princess Quest 2: The Stinging Dark and Princess Quest 3: Omen of the Pincer .
