Despite its many, many flaws, "Piranha 3D" has a certain inadvertent charm. It's a film that's so bad, it's become fascinating in its own right - a trainwreck that you can't look away from. If you're a fan of campy, over-the-top horror movies, you might find some guilty pleasure enjoyment here. Just don't say I didn't warn you...
I dove into the depths of "Piranha 3D" on Dailymotion, expecting a cheesy B-movie with some mindless fun. What I got was a film that's so bad, it's almost... endearing?
The "special effects" are laughably bad, with the piranhas looking like they were rendered on a Commodore 64. The gore is plentiful, but it's clear that the filmmakers were working with a shoestring budget and a poor understanding of CGI.

The cast, featuring Elisabeth Shue and Adam Scott, sleepwalks through their roles, delivering wooden performances that make you cringe.
The dialogue is cringe-worthy, with characters spouting one-liners that are supposed to be witty but come off as ridiculous. The pacing is sluggish, with long stretches of boring exposition that make you wonder when the piranhas will finally start eating people.
