After a decade of director changes (Fincher, please come back!) and budget nightmares, Paramount has quietly pulled the plug on Brad Pitt’s zombie sequel.
It would have been directed by David Fincher ( Se7en, Fight Club ). It would have starred Brad Pitt again. And Paramount killed it because the budget was too high.
❌ As of late 2024/early 2025, Paramount has not officially canceled World War Z 2 , but it is considered "inactive." Brad Pitt’s Plan B Entertainment is focused on other projects.
