In this chapter, the protagonist’s dark companion manifests a new ability: temporary manifestation of a past memory or a fallen ally as a tangible, interactive shade. This “Echo” can offer cryptic guidance, unlock a hidden trauma, or physically shield the protagonist for one crucial moment. However, using it accelerates the companion’s hunger for light or emotional energy, forcing a difficult choice — gain insight or preserve strength for the journey ahead.
