Forget the boring Hallmark movies. Here is how the desi and bindas squad really celebrated the most wonderful (and most chaotic) time of the year. Let’s be real. In 2022, nobody had time to untangle those fairy lights perfectly. The vibe this year was "Jugaad Christmas." We saw trees made out of old textbooks, tinsel duct-taped to the ceiling, and a star that was literally just a 3D-printed chakli (okay, maybe not, but close enough). If your tree wasn't leaning slightly to the left, did you even celebrate? 2. The Great Food Fight (Pizza vs. Plum Cake) 🍕🍰 Christmas 2022 was the year we admitted the truth: Plum cake is overrated. Gasp. We said it. While the aunties were busy soaking dry fruits in rum, the Bindas generation was ordering large Butter Chicken pizzas and cutting the midnight cake that was actually Red Velvet (because chocolate is for birthdays).
