Unlike many movie or show tie-ins that retell episodes, Omniverse 2 features an original storyline. It follows the 16-year-old hero Ben Tennyson as he battles a rogue's gallery of villains using his trusty Omnitrix, a watch-like device allowing him to transform into over a dozen alien forms. The plot begins innocently enough: Ben is enjoying a day out with his partner Rook Blonko in the city of Undertown. However, their peace is shattered when the evil magician and time manipulator, Eon , appears. Using a powerful artifact called the Time-Cycler , Eon tears apart the fabric of space-time, trapping Ben and his allies in a shattered, fragmented universe. Ben must travel through unstable dimensional rifts, battle alternate versions of enemies, and recover pieces of the Time-Cycler to restore reality. Along the way, he faces classic foes like Dr. Animo, V.V. Argost, and Malware, culminating in a final showdown with Eon himself.
